Extractions
If required this may be carried out with gas and air sedation
Our practice also has three experienced clinicians who can carry out tooth extractions on-site in our surgery, eliminating the need for patients to be referred to hospital. If we are unable to carry out an extraction following radiographic evidence or because of a complex medical history, we will refer you to the relevant provider.
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
Commonly known as root canal therapy, endodontics is a complex treatment which involves removing infected or inflamed pulp tissue from a tooth. This may occur because of deep decay, trauma following an accident, or exposure due to excessive wear of enamel and dentine. Signs of a tooth requiring root canal therapy may include pain, swelling, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, or discolouration.
Our dental surgeon Gemma Celda-Martinez has a special interest and extra qualification in Endodontics allowing us to undertake root canal therapy at the practice.
Crowns, Veneers and Bridges
We restore teeth using crowns, veneers, and bridges, depending on your needs. Crowns are used to restore heavily filled or broken teeth, and also after root canal therapy where the tooth may become too brittle and need strengthening. Veneers cover only the front part of the tooth that is heavily filled or discoloured. Bridges can sometimes be provided to restore the gaps left by missing teeth, to improve both appearance and eating.
Dentures
Made from either acrylic or chrome cobalt, dentures are provided to fill gaps left by missing teeth. This not only improves the appearance of your teeth but helps to evenly distribute the workload on your other teeth and prolong their natural life.
