Liam qualified at Trinity College, Dublin in 1980 and has worked in general practice since then. In 2001, he came to Weston-super-Mare and over the years, he has developed Boulevard Dental Practice towards offering high-quality dentistry and cosmetic treatments.

He believes in a holistic approach to dental care and the importance of being able to provide a spectrum of treatments tailored to the patient’s needs. Additionally, he is accredited to administer Botulinum-toxin facial treatments and dermal fillers, which very often enhance the effect of treatments offered.

From October 2008 to March 2010, Liam completed the practical and clinical course in Dental Implantology at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield, which is one of the leading institutions in the country for dental implant treatment. He has also developed an interest in treating musculoskeletal dysfunction such as headaches and neck aches, which very often have a dental origin.

Gemma Celda Martinez qualified from CEU-Cardenal Herrera University in Spain in 2010 and moved to England in 2011.

Gemma completed her Masters degree in Endodontics (root canal therapy) from the University of Warwick in 2019 and she joined the team in 2020.

Since then, as well as carrying out general dental treatments, she has developed a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. She qualified as an Invisalign provider in 2021 and finds changing people’s smiles very rewarding.

In 2022, Gemma decided to progress further and completed a course in Harley Street, London in facial rejuvenation therapy.

When not at work, Gemma loves making memories with her husband and little daughter and likes to spend time with her family here and in Spain.

Graduating from King’s College London in 2018, Matt completed his dentistry degree with prizes for oral diagnosis and clinical aptitude. During his time at King’s College, he also completed a degree in Oral and Craniofacial biology.

Matt enjoys all aspects of general dentistry for adults and children. He has a calming demeanour and has developed his skills in pain and anxiety management, completing additional training in conscious sedation techniques and becoming a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD). He has also been a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons England since 2020.

In 2024, Matt completed a post-graduate certificate in clinical oral surgery at the University of Bristol, building on skills gained over a year working in Maxillofacial Surgery in Swansea. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, rock climbing, hill walking and running whenever he gets a chance.

Ronan Patel joined our practice in September 2023. He has attained a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is particularly interested in Aesthetic dentistry and Oral Surgery. He attends a wide range of courses to keep up to date with modern advances in Dentistry. He is trained in with clear aligners and works with orthodontic specialists at 32Co to provide tooth aligner treatments for brighter, whiter and straighter smiles.

After working in community dental services, he is confident in treating very anxious patients including children.

Ronan enjoys most sports, particularly Golf, Football, and Rugby. He also spends time travelling and exploring new countries.

Kate is our dental hygienist, she joined the practice in 2019 and has over 40 years of experience in preventive care and maintaining the oral health of patients.

Kate is particularly good with patients anxious in seeing a hygienist and is a valuable clinician, supporting our dentists in maintaining patients oral health.

In her spare time Kate is a keen participant in cold water swimming and is kept busy renovating her new bungalow.

Vicky joined us a number of years ago and after a brief retirement, we were pleased to welcome her back, with her wealth of experience as a part- time receptionist in January 2022.

In her spare time Vicky enjoys walking her greyhound and travelling in her motorhome.

Chrissy has been dental nursing since 1980 and joined the practice in 1997. She passed the national qualification in 2000. During her time at the practice, she has attended courses on inhalation sedation and dental implants.

Chrissy is our longest serving team member and since working with our cosmetic dentist has now gained considerable knowledge in composite bonding and Invisalign orthodontic system. You will find her as senior dental nurse in the surgery or more recently in a front of house role as part of the reception team.

In her spare time Chrissy enjoys walking her little dog and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Nicky began dental nursing in 1985 and joined us in 2004. She passed the national qualification with distinction in 1989. During her time at the practice, she has also attended courses on inhalation sedation and dental implants.

These days you may need see Nicky in the surgery or on reception, taking on more of a managerial role.

In her spare time Nicky enjoys walking her dog, cycling and socialising with her family and friends.

Emma joined the team in 2021 as a dental nurse. She has 30 years of experience and gained her dental nurse qualification in 2008. She is a valuable addition to the team, usually found in the surgery assisting Dr Matthew Harvey.

In her spare time Emma enjoys walking her dog Arnold and spending time with her family.

Becky is the newest addition to the dental team. She is a popular team member who began her dental nursing career in 2019 , qualifying as a dental nurse in 2021. In 2023 she also achieved her qualification in Dental Radiography, allowing her to take dental x-rays in the surgery.

In her spare time Becky is kept busy, looking after and riding her horse, Polly. She also enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family.
